This year ACRE hosts the Hearth annual benefit online to raise critical funds for ACRE’s residency and exhibition programs for emerging artists. Each fall ACRE friends and family gather around a shared meal and look ahead to creating its future together. The evening evokes the warmth and care of our residency program and celebrates the key features that make it special.
Support ACRE and support artists. 50% of final bids on works by ACRE alumni and staff will go directly to each artist and 50% will go directly to funding ACRE’s programs. Additional works will support ACRE scholarships and programs directly.
Register for the Hearth streaming reception with presentations by ACRE artists and live auction on October 29 at 7pm.
Tickets on sale for ACRE Kitchen picnic basket meal featuring artist-made goods. Available for pickup or delivery to your door on October 29 to enjoy during the streaming reception.
How It Works:
Bids will be accepted online through the close of the streaming reception, at 8:00pm on October 29. If you would like to preview artworks in person before bidding, they will be on view from October 15-28 in the Document viewing room, 1709 W. Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL. Visiting hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-6pm. Appointments are encouraged; please email info@documentspace.com or call (312) 535-4555.
Between 7:00-8:00pm on October 29, bidding for a selection of works will continue via live auction during the streaming reception. The winning bids from the two week online bidding period will be the starting bids for works featured in the live auction.
If you can’t attend the live auction, you may contact info@acreresidency.org if you are interested in proxy bidding. Please provide maximum bid amount and auction item, and designated ACRE staff will competitively bid on your behalf.
Winning bidders will be contacted on October 30 with an invoice for their auction item. ACRE accepts credit card payments through QuickBooks, or payments via Venmo (@ACRE-Residency) and PayPal (info@acreresidency.org). Pickup of auction items for Chicago bidders will begin on Monday, November 2. To arrange for in-city delivery contact info@acreresidency.org. Out of town shipping can be arranged, at the buyer’s expense, once payment arrangements are made.
